Fay.it
The challenge of the fay.it web site has been to match the customer needs in a short time without changing timeframe the quality and capabilities of the project. In order to do this we worked closely with the customer asking for continuous feedback with a wide team.
The Drupal back-end we created is the AMF data source of the web site and it’s tightly coupled with the model we created for the client application in order to get all the speed of the AMF protocol.
To fully support the deep linking we used SWFAdress. This library has been really useful also in order to handle the bread crumb navigation that is contained in the bottom area of the web site.
All the slideshows of the web site are XML driven. They have the capabilities to handle some tooltip icons dynamically positioned and with dynamic content. All the textual content of the web site is delivered in two languages and the client app is ready to handle more languages.
To enable the user to get a better experience from the web site each product info can be downloaded in PDF format (dynamically generated by the back-end) and shared on facebook or simply through an e-mail.
An interesting feature is that the user can share the right thumbnail on facebook without any additional loading of the page.
The track of this web site was the cross linking between products, let’s try it and enjoy the navigation on www.fay.it.
